William (Bill) Bohozuk
Bill Bohozuk was born in 1918 and died in 1996. Bill worked as a steelworker in Hamilton. He was also a member of the Hamilton Leander Boat Club. Evelyn meet Bill coming out of Bobs Grill at the corner of Barton and James ST. This was five days after her and John had got married. They went out to a movie and Evelyn ended up spending the night at Bills house. She had cheated on her husband with Bill. That is what she had told the detectives when she got questioned about her husbands murder. In Evelyns first statement about who she thought murdered her husband did not involved Bill. Her second statement she said that Bill needed $200 to pay Italian 'gangsters' from Windsor to 'fix' John. Then Evelyn gave another statement, her third statement. This time she had told the detectives that Bill was the one who had killed John and that she was in the car with them driving when Bill had shot John and blood went all over her clothes. Since there was no significant evidence proving that Bill had killed John and that Evelyn was the only witness and her statements were unusable and she did not want to testify Bill was realest from jail.

When police were searching Evelyns house they found a suit case with cement in it and the remains of an infant baby with Evelyns skirt wrapped around it. It was proven that the baby had been killed just after getting out of the hospital. When the police were questioning Evelyn on why she had killed her new born baby she told them that she did not and that the father of the baby was Bill Bohozuk. She had said that when she got out of the hospital Bill had taken him and then brought him bad to her in a bag with cement in it, and said that he had strangled her baby to death. But again since there was no evidence of Bill murdering Peter he did not go to jail.
Evelyn told the police the first time she was getting questioned that she had met Bill for the first time five days after her and Johns wedding, but then she said that he was the father of her baby. |
